Boy, did it take a long time to draw this shoe! Those laces were really hard to do, and all the stitches too. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but am awaiting feedback from my teacher… so we’ll see if the shoe requires yet another pass.
I just realized I should start writing my name at the bottom of my drawing before I scan it. Oh well, next time!

Beautiful!
Just a suggestion…do you know what would make it really pop? Slight shading around the shoe. The shoe could afford hard edges a little more than the human face namely around the back of the shoe where the edge seems awfully soft at the top as compared to the heel. You could still utilize some darker darks other than the inside of the shoe in small increments such as around the eyelets of the shoe laces and in the shadows created by the shoes.
The most beautiful part is the sole of the shoe. Gorgeously rendered, your use of value in that portion is exquisite. I’m loving the texture you achieved on the shoe under the lacing portion. You could almost feel the texture, great job!
